Channel rebrand for NTV—Germany’s leading TV news channel—created alongside the launch of its new flagship broadcast studio.
In collaboration with my friends at thefinest.de, we won an invited pitch to redefine the on-air identity of NTV. I contributed to the development of the core creative concept and helped shape the visual language across the entire design system—from brand identity, logo animations, and title sequences to studio graphics, backgrounds, and infographics.
The starting point for the redesign was NTV’s news ticker—one of the channel’s most recognizable visual elements and the place where information is communicated in its most concise form.
Rather than treating the ticker as a standalone graphic, we expanded it into the foundation of the entire design system. The result is the NTV Feed: a dynamic visual environment built from headlines, keywords, numbers, images, video, and the channel’s core graphic elements, including the logo, sub-brands, grids, lines, and pointers.
Moving across the X and Y axes while introducing depth through the Z axis, the system creates a flexible spatial language that guides viewers through layers of information—bringing clarity, rhythm, and motion to the broadcast experience.
Following the concept phase, thefinest led the extensive design development, while the new physical studio was realized by Veech x Veech. The new motion design and studio launched on air in May 2026.
More to come soon.
